So,im looking at iphones on ebay and what not, and quite a few of them say "unlocked "use with rogers bell and other places.but the way i see it, it doesnt make any sense,rogers is gsm or gms what ever it is. and bell is cdma, so how can it be used on either?is it because bell has sim cards, but only for blackberrys and iphones?any help on thisthanks (Read answers)

I had my iphone unlocked so it would work with none supported carriers by a hacker i paid but now i want to jailbreak it. all the guides i find tell me i have to restore the iphone in one point or another which would result in me losing my unlock which i dont want to risk.is there a way to jailbreak without such a step? i dont want to have to pay another hacker to jailbreak it nor have to pay him again in case the already unlock function dissappears after the restore.
